A national public media literacy initiative offering research-based strategies to teachers, parents, administrators, librarians, childcare providers, and anyone else involved in helping a young child become strong, confident readers. The goal is to help young students learn to read, identify why so many struggle, and how caring adults can help by providing free resources about teaching children to read and helping kids who struggle. Free evidence-based information about reading can be found in three major services: PBS television programs, online services, and professional development opportunities.
