The iEARN project has encouraged on-line communications between students in the US, Eastern Europe and Latin America through over 100 active global projects. For example, as a result of virtual planning, a real construction project was initiated in a village in Latin America. Students have also collaborated on historical studies, such as the Holocaust.
iEARN is a non-profit organization made up of over 30,000 schools and youth organizations in more than 140 countries. iEARN wants to empower teachers and young people to work together online using the Internet and other communications technologies.
