At the moment China has the largest population in the world. But India will soon overtake China and rank as the largest population by far in 2100, counting 1.5 billion people. China is expected to see a large decline as a consequence of its low birth rate. The total world population is expected to climb from 7.7 billion (2019) to 11.2 billion (2100)
