Everyone needs to learn to manage their money. Each year, the TIAA Institute and Global Financial Literacy Excellence Center (GFLEC) conducts a survey of adults to determine their overall financial literacy. The average score on their test of 28 questions? Less than 50%. Most Americans have poor financial literacy, which often leads to lifelong financial troubles.
