Wikipedia has articles about every topic—from “Taylor Swift” to “toast sandwich”—and chances are that one of the open-source online encyclopedia’s 6.6 million articles will appear at the top of search results. But that trove of information has been labeled as “off limits” by teachers worldwide because anyone can edit the information. In this lesson, students will learn how accurate Wikipedia really is, how to use it responsibly for their schoolwork, and how to recognize potential misinformation.
